The rain arrived yesterday in observation of the end of Bumbershoot, Labor Day, and summer. Billy Bragg’s words from the night before rambled through my mind in observation of labor day. He spoke of how getting together and singing songs of and for the people was not the revolutionary act, but that it was food and the comfort of community for those who care and work for the benefit of all people, that they might be replenished in spirit and strength for the good fight. Some how, my being at home here at No Depression seems a part of that community in some small way. I am glad to be here, and I am glad you are all here.
