Canadian Country Artist Lucky Holloway Self-Releases New CD, Embraces Musical Roots
Canadian country singer/songwriter Lucky Holloway recently self-released his new CD, “Up The Highway” on his own record label, Boot Cut Records. After moving on from a criminal past and gaining a gritty new perspective, Lucky describes the album as “the fruition of 20 years hard work”. Holloway has toured everywhere from Austin, Texas to Vancouver, BC, and is now settled in his hometown of Calgary, Alberta.
“Up The Highway” find’s Lucky’s sound paying tribute to some of his own country music heroes, Hank Williams and Lefty Frizzell. His live band, Lucky Holloway’s Hillbilly Revue, are currently planning new live dates to support the release.
Lucky sat down with Big Sky Sessions for a stripped down performance of “This Carnival Of A Life”. It can be viewed at http://vimeo.com/8417733.
