    Billie Hockett was a mainstay of the Boston-area Celtic community. I had the pleasure of assisting her with several Music for Robin concerts she produced at the Emerson Umbrella in Concord and St. John’s Methodist Church in Watertown. She was probably best known to many for her untiring work producing a weekly events listing (the 2/22/10 edition below is reproduced below).

    Billie passed November 7, 2011 but lives on in our hearts and music.  The members of the open Facebook group Celtic Music in New England, created September 27, 2011 and since dedicated to her memory share concert and other news, carrying on as Billie would have us collectively do.
