Coachella–Wish I could have been there
I could have done without all the little digs towards older musicians contained in this blog (“old classic rock guy”; the adjacent stage remained dark out of “respect for the elderly”; it wasn’t ALL about “sweating to the oldies”; etc.)–even though it was complimentary overall to them. Music should draw people together and lower boundaries that separate us, not be elitist and keep people separated–by what?–age?. Good music is good music, and it matters not the age of the performer or listener. If you are lucky to live long enough on this earth, you’ll become an “oldster” too. Let’s just hope the love of good music is not lost along the way.
