Contest: Interview Old Crow Medicine Show and Win a Copy of Remedy
(Note: Thank you all for your responses. This contest is now closed.)
It could be argued that Old Crow Medicine Show’s song “Wagon Wheel” is one of the most frequently covered songs of the millennial folk and roots music boom. The tune, which began its life under the pen of Bob Dylan and was polished off by OCMS, certainly boosted the band to stringband stardom, such as it is. Since then, OCMS has forged a career at the forefront of a new folk revival, sawing and picking their way into the hearts and ears of audiences around the globe.
Now, with their seventh full-length studio album, Remedy (ATO Records), the septet is back with some of their most exciting, energetic work to date… including a new song they “co-wrote” with Bob Dylan.
In fact, we’re so fond of the disc and Old Crow Medicine Show, we’ve teamed up with the fine folks at ATO to cook up a contest for you.
We want you — the No Depression community — to interview Old Crow Medicine Show.
If you’d like to participate in the interview, simply add a comment on this post with your question(s) for the band. They’ll choose ten questions, we’ll post their answers, and the ten folks who posed the questions will win a copy of Remedy.
All comment/questions must be posted on this blog no later than 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on Mon. July 7, 2014. We will post the answers — and a list of winners — as soon as we receive them from OCMS.
To add your comment/question to this post, simply scroll to the bottom of this page and type your question in the comment field. Questions posted as separate blog posts — or via Facebook and Twitter — will not be counted toward the contest.
Anyone can enter but the prize(s) must be shipped to a U.S. address.
