Couch by Couchwest 2013, Day 2 Highlights
It’s our second day of not being at SXSW in Austin. Yay! Actually, booo…. We’re jealous. But Couch by Couchwest is the second best thing! Right? Right!
Jon Davis from Florence, Alabama, got things off to a great start with his beautiful song called “Home.”
The Galileo 7 joined us from across the pond with some killer psych-rock. This video was filmed in Barker’s Lithographic Printers in Rochester, Kent, UK.
Squee the cat did sound check in Saratoga Springs, New York, for the band Skeletons in the Piano (video to be posted soon).
Hecktor Pecktor from Boise, Idaho, did a two song honky tonkin’ steel guitar set and sent us this still from their video shoot. Really fun band.
Samuel Barker in Houston, Texas, sent us a photo of the aftermath of Day 1 at CXCW. He later played with Huke Green as part of The Wayward Sons.
Old Man Kelly from Blacksburg, Virginia, rocked us with his one man band banjo/drum set/harmonica combo…and still in his bathrobe!
Rayna Gellert and Kristin Andreassen delighted us with a premiere of one of Kristin’s new songs
Scott Miller took a break from his tour to give a brief history lesson for all those folks out in Texas this week.
And we closed out the night with a wonderful song from Chuck Prophet and his wife
Join us tomorrow for another fun-filled day on the couch! We have some killer tunes in our inbox just waiting for you to view!
