Ive been a fan since Crosby arrived at The House Concert hub last year and duly proclaimed it on the Medicine Show from the first listen to his rootsy observations of the root core of American society. So when I heard he was playing Inverness I made the necessary arraignments and I found mercurial character with an open heart, a Mr Bojangle smile and a mistrals easy nature, he held court as he held a cup of coffee at the bar, greeted me like a long lost friend and I recognise him too, though we’d never met. We talk of life, we talked of life, then he clicked his heels in song and story for a largely passing but duely enthralled audience at the Highlands premier music hostelry.
With his new cd “Lectric Prayer” set for release he’ll be coming to a town near you too with a hat full of heart felt songs about people like us for people like us. I’ll be featuring the new album this week on the show
