Drive By Truckers Preview New Album, American Band
Drive-By Truckers are set to release their new album, American Band, on September 30. Today they gave us a sneak peak with a “First Listen” on NPR Music.
The Alabama band have never shied away from inserting their political beliefs into their music, and American Band is no different. The tracks touch on multiple issues that are more prevalent now than ever, such as gun violence and patriotism, always with a southern spin. With the upcoming election rapidly approaching, Drive-By Truckers have created an album that perfectly reflects a very torn Nation. This is the third studio album with the current members of the Drive By Truckers , they include Patterson Hood, Mike Cooley, Jay Gonzalez, Matt Patton and Brad Morgan.
