“Woe is Me,” written by Nell Robinson and performed by the Nell & Jim Band, is featured on their new album, Western Sun, named “Best of 2020” by Spotify. The song is about … well, watch and listen and decide for yourself. We will say, however, that it has elements of the South where Nell was born (Alabama) and the West (California) where she and Jim have made their home for many years now. Nell and Jim discovered an emerging artist in handcrafted stop-motion, Alix Bortoli, who handmade the art and worked with animator Dani Fish to bring it to life.
