Toronto’s Choir! Choir! Choir! and telephone/media company Koodoo recently teamed up to record The Cure’s “Friday I’m In Love” to welcome to the city a family of the Syrian refugees now arriving in Canada. When they approached Robert Smith for permission, he so approved of the project that he not only granted said permission but donated his licensing fee to the cause.
“Friday I’m In Love” was the monster hit off 1992’s Wish. Choir! Choir! Choir! show how it still shimmers today, and for such a good holiday-season reason. Happy Friday, happy weekend, everybody.
