Great Overlooked Albums
The last week of another year has arrived. And while, sure, a year is a sort of arbitrary way to group artistic projects, this transition from one calendar year to another affords us the opportunity to take stock of what we’ve left behind as we prepare to embrace what’s ahead. So, in the spirit of retrospection, we hold our annual readers poll (submit your ballot by Wed., Dec. 30 or your vote won’t count) and pause to take a look at some music we wish we’d given more attention. To that end, there are some great releases from Jeffrey Foucault, Drive-By Truckers, Judith Hill, and Ellis Hooks. Find something to enjoy, and here’s wishing you and your loved ones a safe, productive, inspiring new year!
