Here Are Your Roots Nominees for the 2018 Grammy Awards
The Recording Academy announced nominees for the 2018 Grammy Awards early this morning, and many of your roots favorites made the cut.
Notable nominees include Jason Isbell, who’s up for Americana Album of the Year (The Nashville Sound) and American Roots Song of the Year (“If We Were Vampires”); the Mavericks, also up for two awards (American Roots Song of the Year for “I Wish You Well” and Americana Album of the Year for Brand New Day); and the late Gregg Allman, who notched honors for American Roots Song of the Year (“My Only True Friend”) and Americana Album of the Year (Southern Blood).
The 60th annual Grammy Awards will take place on January 28 at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. The show will air live on CBS; check your local listings for scheduling information.
