Howdy No Depression Users,
Very happy to sign on and donate this morning. A great community here at No Depression! We are heading to the studio with James Hand this Saturday & Sunday in Austin, TX. The new release will be produced and released by Hillgrass Bluebilly Records. We are looking to cut about 16 songs or so, to carve it down into the tentativley titled release “You Almost Fell.” including ALL originals!
James Hand is a cult icon, plain and simple. We arent goin into the studio to only record a good James Hand release. The world that is not yet familiar with Slim, is about to know the realest of deals. Hillgrass Bluebilly is looking for a late April / early May release. featured artists on this weeks session is Cindy Cashdollar, Speedy Sparks, Will Indian and more.
You can get the CD before it’s release at the upcoming “Saving Muddy Hillgrass X(not)SXSW 5th Annual Showcase. Hillgrass Bluebilly Records has teamed up with www.savingcountrymusic.com (who will broadcast the event LIVE on their website) & Muddy Roots Festival, who No Depression’s own Kim Ruehl visited last year and THIS year they have Ramblin’ Jack Elliott & Dr. Ralph Stanley performing.
