the new radio studio is large enough for any size roots band, a new Soundcraft mixing desk has been installed, we record with Rode NT 2000 & Rode NT1A condenser mikes plus Sure SM 58’s and a selection of DI boxes.
For use on our sessions we can offer……
A Fender Blues Junior (valve) amp, a Fender Frontman 25 R, a cahon, a set of congas and a multitude of shakers and rattlers.
We offer a range of acoustic & electric stringed instruments…..a Tanglewood six string banjo, Gold Tone five string banjo and a Crafter mandolin.
Guitars on offer are a 1965 Gibson Hummingbird, a Gretch Electroglide solid body, an ‘Ecceleshall Electric Lady’, a Blueridge dobro, a Fender dobro, an Ozark dobro, a Fender ‘New Yorker’ solid body bass and an Ibanez custom acoustic.
All the above at our discretion.

The History….
after leaving The Borderline music venue as promoter/booker in February 2007, my radio show morphed from being ‘Borderline radio’ into ‘The House of Mercy’ and found a permanent slot at midnight on a Saturday on www.totalrock.com . I had built a little radio studio in the box room of my house and was asked by Rachel Harrington’s press person from GPromo, if I could do a live session. All I needed was a mike and my mini disc player to record….so around April 2007 Rachel Harrington played the first ever radio session on the House of Mercy radio show, recorded in the bedroom and soon to become the Boudoir Studio.
In January 2011 my then 87 year old Aunty Honor took sick and moved into what was The Boudoir Studio in March, prior to that after much thought we built the Snake Pit Studio in our back garden.
