Kinks-esque Pittsburgh Indie Rockers release “Quit Music” on Authentic Records
Meeting of Important People has gone through a number of permutations and various band names in the past several years. But Josh Verbanets’ crazy catchy Kinks-esque songs and wild stage demeanor keep on ticking. Quit Music is the newest EP from the indie rock trio. It’s released on Authentic Records and features songs about Jesus, songs about muscular rub downs, and a kick ass cover of Come on Down to My Boat.
Verbanets has a real knack for churning out 1960s style pop tracks in the vein of the Zombies, the Kinks, and other AM radio fare. They also with throwing in a real rager here and there, like the lyrically inscrutable, “Big Muscles”.
