Leadville (hailing from St. Louis, MO) will release its debut CD Time Kills August 15th
The new independent release has been over 5 years in the making ~ and has been a labor of love.
(Our members have been playing orginial music for over 15 years ~ you can find our past bands in the no depression archives under Stillwater and Free Dirt.)
Highlights for the band have included playing SXSW, opening for rock n’ roll legend Chuck Berry, and getting free drinks whenever we play out live 🙂
I’ve included a link to the track ‘the damp’ (a song about death….) which features the fiddle work of Magnolia Summer’s Kevin Buckley ~ I’m pretty sure Kevin hadn’t heard the song before coming in the studio…he listened to the song twice, asked what key the song was in, and laid down a terrific track.
