Wow, what a night! We loaded into London Bridge Studio at 3pm on Sunday to showcase at the Annivers-a-Birthday-Music Showcase-Mustache Party! It was a knockout. There were three other bands showcasing, all with stellar talent! It was not only a great party, but an excellent networking opportunity for people in the music industry. From producers to managers to Scott Mercado, there were plenty of shoulders to bump into while at the party. We were also honored to provide the kegs of beer to ensure the party attendees wouldn’t go thirsty! It was an amazing night!
After the band showcases were over, the boys of LBS opened the stage up for anyone to jam; considering most of the party could play an instrument. In my opinion, this is where the fun really began. Myself, Greg, and Eric had the opportunity to jam out with Scott Mercado, the drummer for Candlebox. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Rich as well considering he was able to talk to one of his heroes. Among other Seattle-based Grunge Rock bands, Candlebox has always been in Rich’s music library. It was such a thrill to see the excitement in Rich just to be able to talk to Scott. It was a night to remember! And for us, as a band, it really put our chosen careers into perspective. We’ve come a long way as a band and are honored to be in this position. Thank you to everyone who has made it possible for us to be here.
