• Marty Stuart at the Birchmere (Alexandria, VA – August 16, 2014)

    I was privileged to see Marty Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives at the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA on August 16, 2014. What an incredible performance they put on.  

    Midway thru the show, Marty’s solo rendition of Orange Blossom Special was something to behold.  What he did with his mandolin on that song is impossible to describe.  If you ever have a chance to see them live, DO NOT MISS IT.  

    Kenny Vaughan was, as always, excellent with his guitar work and singing.  Harry Stinson and Paul Martin were also in top form.  

    Marty’s work with Clarence White’s Telecaster guitar was wonderful on multiple songs, but at its best when they played Hummingbyrd.  

    Thank you Marty and the boys for a wonderful evening.
