Well, this is the second Christmas song that I have already reviewed this season. Mindy Smith has already released a five song EP last month. Mike has a really nice Video built around his song “Almost Christmas”, which is a song that he wrote. It is an acoustic song which is very well done, The video is based around him singing in a decorated area, a train rolling down the snowy tracks, and him walking around the winter streets with his guitar, Mike Aiken is what I think of when you say Americana music. It’s like Bluegrass without the banjo and fiddle. There is some excellent dobro and slide guitar on the song, love the tone of the candy cane slide the slide guitar player uses, has a sweet sound!!! Anyway, enjoy this great song and enjoy the holidays.
