More, Please
It’s been nearly 30 years since Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, and Linda Ronstadt got together to release their original Trio record, in 1987, and the music still holds up beautifully. Here are three women who have weathered every passing trend and subgenre into which anyone might be lumped, and have never stopped making timeless music. Don McLeese digs into the album’s complete reissue (titled Trio: The Complete Collection). We also get unexpected goodies from Wilco and Richard Shindell, and some more incredible grooves from the inimitable Time Jumpers. What more could you possibly expect in one week?
