• {MP3} New record from Tim Easton (New West Records, April 28)

    One of the cool things I stumbled upon heading into and out of the Yard Dog during the Bloodshot party at SXSW was a hand painted lp cover of the new record by Tim Easton. Tim had done the artwork for Porcupine and it was a limited edition vinyl release. The cost was $80 which seemed high but really wasn’t considering you got an original piece of art and an lp.

    “Burgundy Red” (mp3 below) is a prickly rock `n’ roll song off Porcupine that may give a clue to the record’s title. If the entire record is anything like the song below it’ll be a barn burner. For more about the record check out my blog post on Songs:Illinois.
