Texas guitar slinger Chris Watson has released two new singles that features a full blown horn band sound. The first track “Last Train Home,” kicks off at full tilt with a Wilson Pickett style driving beat and a fanfare of ringing horns that will set the dance floor on fire.
The second track “Hooked On You,” features a slinky groove that is part blues shuffle , part hip hop funk from drummer Chris “chill” Hill. Some tasty solo’s from Scott Keys on the organ, Preston Lewis on Saxophone and Watson’s wah wah guitar fill up the middle section. With the horn section once again adding its own melodic hook to the chorus.
These two new tunes written and arranged by Watson show his real growth as an artist. Watson describes them as this,” These two tunes are a huge step forward toward creating and performing music that I truly love,” and he is right on the mark.
