Every month, the No Depression team compiles a list of our favorite songs from the month’s new releases. In June, Spotlight artist S.G. Goodman roared and whispered back into our ears with her new LP Teeth Marks (and don’t miss her thoughtful, vulnerable essay about writing through OCD here). Additionally, longtime No Depression stalwarts like Andrew Bird and Mary Gauthier released new records, as did up-and-coming roots artists like Chastity Brown and Angel Olsen, whose latest, pedal steel-infused album even earned her a spot on our mid-year Best Roots Music Albums of 2022 (So Far) list.
