Amy Nelson (daughter of Willie Nelson,) performed with the duet, Folk Uke, at Saxon Pub in Austin Jan. 17, 2015. Amy learned much of what she knows about playing a guitar and singing from her famous father. From Cathy, she has learned to add humor to songs with serious themes as a coping mechanism. For the title track off their 2011 album, Reincarnation, Amy admits that she began writing the song nearly a decade ago about her sister’s dog, Candy.
