    Balsam Range will be honored by the House and Senate of the State of North Carolina on June 10. 2015 for the band’s representation of, and contributions to the musical heritage of the state. The band is the current IBMA Entertainer of the Year, and Vocal Group of the Year. Balsam Range is comprised of North Carolina natives Tim Surrett, Darren Nicholson, Buddy Melton, Marc Pruett and Caleb Smith.
