    Irish fiddler Steve Wickham was the catalyst for the classic “Fisherman’s Blues” album by The Waterboys (1986), fusing Irish and Scottish traditional music with rock. Wickham left the band in 1990 when The Waterboys veered away from acoustic and traditional styles. He rejoined a decade later and is now a prominent member of the touring band, with founder and front man, Mike Scott.
