The session for the fifth show was the biggest gathering yet, with lots of live music. Londoner Peter Blegvad was in town for a show so he stopped by; Jody Harris’s computer melted down so he had to come play live; Laura Cantrell hadn’t recorded her song so she came to play; James MacMillan was in town from Amsterdam so Kate Jacobs took the opportunity to have a full band reunion which meant the All Stars—now including Andy Burton!— had a rhythm section with Paul Moschella on drums; Victoria Williams skyped in from her kitchen in Joshua Tree where she was playing music with some friends so we experimented with a band in the ether; Freedy emailed us his song from Charlottesville during the show; and to ice the cake Robin Holcomb was here from Seattle and played two gorgeous songs on the baby grand.
We would like to announce the happy news that Robin is joining us as a regular contributor to the Radio Free Song Club. What luck.
