Rainy Day Music
It’s been raining for a week here in New York City, which has me cooped up inside listening to records (naturally). Our staff reviewers have been hard at work, bringing you concise analyses of some great new albums, like Whitney Rose’s latest EP, South Texas Suite. Don McLeese has homed in on one of his favorite sounds of the year by way of Tift Merritt’s sixth release, Stitch of the World. Dale Watson and Ray Benson’s duet album is pretty much made for our own Grant Britt, who lives inside a funky fried universe. And last but not least, ND community member Rachel Cholst writes about the blue collar folk music of Rayna Gellert. Dig in, and stay out of the cold.
