REM contest

REM is the Godfather of Indie. The terms “Alt-Rock”, “College Pop”, and “Indie” were all coined in effort to describe the genre that REM created with their intimations of 80’s New Wave crossed with the folk sounds that reminded us of our roots. Before Wilco and Drive-By Truckers, before Dave Matthews Band, there was REM. Sure doesn’t feel like 25 years since we were introduced to this groundbreaking music!
