Roots Music Family Reunion: AmericanaFest 2015

Every year, the Americana Music Association holds its annual festival in Nashville, combining industry panels with showcases across town and across the river in East Nashville for nearly a week.  For fans, musicians, and behind-the-scenes folks, AmericanaFest connects everyone from emerging bands to Grammy winners in venues all over Music City.  Often, songwriters without fixed touring lineups will call upon their friends to be in one-night supergroups, like Aaron Lee Tasjan did for his set at one of the official kickoff parties, Sin City Social vs. Guitartown at the Basement East.  Disclosure:  my show, Country Fried Rock, was an official sponsor of that event, but even I had no idea how incredible the night would be, and that perfectly captures the magic of AmericanaFest.
