Shlomo Franklin Gives New Life to “Mr. Brightside”
Artist Shlomo Franklin is back at it again in the form of a song. A standout Americana-Folk artist in his own right, today he brings his own voice in a cover of The Killers’ “Mr. Brightside.” Franklin, who hails from New York, takes the song to new levels, as he brings his own distinct sound into the mix. As his vocals create a gorgeous and haunting cover of the track, you will find the song lingering in your ears for days at a time.

Growing up a little over an hour from Bethel, New York, Franklin spent a majority of his youth as a farmboy; milking cows and bailing hay near the once-iconic Woodstock festival. In his head, though, Shlomo Franklin was always a dreamer. Without access to TV, radio, or popular culture, he used his imagination to transcend the boundaries of his youth and create a world all his own. Now at the tender age of 22, he’s vividly brought that world to life with his stunning debut EP, ‘Don’t Love Anybody.’ Produced by GRAMMY-winner C Lanzbom, the stripped-down collection filters ’60s and ’70s folk rock through a thoroughly modern lens, tipping its cap to some of American music’s most iconoclastic songwriters as it offers up a stark, riveting introduction to a remarkable artist only just beginning to scratch the surface of his prodigious talents.
Closing out 2018 in the best way possible, Shlomo Franklin gracefully takes us into the New Year.
