This week’s spotlight falls on a veritable grab bag of new releases, embracing the entire umbrella of what constitutes American roots music. We have the guitar mastery and gospel rock of the Tedeschi Trucks Band leading the pack. Then there’s the brand new community-driven a capella soul of Sweet Honey in the Rock — some of the most incredible singers this genre knows. Next is indie pop from Gary Louris and Django Haskins, as Au Pair, some solo stuff from Mark Huff,  and essentials from beloved Nashville singer-songwriter Gretchen Peters.
