    One of my favorite groups of the last few years has been the high-energy old-time trio South Carolina Broadcasters, who now call Mt. Airy, North Carolina home after early beginnings in Charleston where they got their moniker. Seeing them two years in a row at MerleFest helped, watching them win over new fans with their Carter Family and classic gospel tunes. They’ll play pretty much anywhere, any time, as evidenced by this fun clip of them playing on the Battery in Charleston, South Carolina.
