Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers Premiere 360 Degree Video for “Santa Fe”
Performing in a circle is one of the best set-ups for a live band, as it enables intimacy and ease of communication between members. It is not, however, always conducive to shooting music videos.
That is, unless you’re Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers. The band traveled to Asheville to perform The Long-Awaited Album cut “Santa Fe,” shooting the performance with a high-definition 360 degree camera. The unorthodox setup offers a nice glimpse of the band in their live element, with, of course, a little humor from Martin to kick things off.
“No Depression is the perfect site to play an uplifting tune like ‘Santa Fe,'” Martin says in an e-mail to ND. “One dose equals no depression.”
