Sunday Ramble Y3-13: Easter Sunday – The Cucumbers, Juan Luis Guerra, Gary Clark Jr
This week on the Sunday Ramble:
Happy Easter for all those that may be celebrating today. Our newest music today is also our oldest music as we listen to cuts from the recently released ” The Cucumbers: The Fake Doom Years 1983-1986″, that came out last weekend from Life Force Records, and a reunion show was announced for Friday May 13th at the Rent Party in Maplewood.
David is off again this week as he celebrates Easter with his family and mourns the recent passing of his Mother. David will be back with us next week, but while he’s away we’ll take a look at some of the great acts he has brought to our attention over the past year, including Gary Clark Jr, Rayland Baxter, The Wood Brothers and Lucero.
We’ll also be featuring new music from Merengue superstar Juan Luis Guerra y 4:40, experimental composer Son Lux and Nashville Indie Rock group KOPECKY.
