Telluride Bluegrass Festival
First, let me admit that I am not an experienced blogger. I am, however, very experienced in the following areas:
1. Bluegrass Music (and most of the other styles of music featured at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival).
2. Telluride, CO – having attended the festival 5 or 6 times since the mid 80’s I know my way around the town and the festival site.
3. Laptop Computers – hey, I’m posting this on one!
I would love the opportunity to experience the magic of Telluride again and share the experience with the ND community. Having been to the festival on several occasions, I can certainly appreciate the special vantage point a press pass would offer.
My wife hates the heat and humidity here in Houston in the summer, so she would welcome the chance to spend a few days in cool Colorado this June. With her love of music and knowledge of computers, it would be like two bloggers for the price of one!
I have enjoyed seeing many of the artists I admire perform at Telluride over the years. Many will be back this year – Tim O’Brien, Sam Bush, Del McCoury, Alison Krauss, Lyle Lovett, Peter Rowan and so many more. Sadly, I can only rely on my memories of Charles Sawtelle, John Hartford, Bill Monroe, John Duffey and others who will definitely be there in spirit.
Having invested generously in recent years into digital cameras, HD video camcorders and laptop batteries – I would be most proud and pleased to thoroughly cover every angle of the entire 37th Annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival and share it with my friends at No Depression!
