Telluride Bluegrass Festival Blogging Contest
CONTEST NOW CLOSED. Congratulations to Mr. Edyoulis, who will be going to Telluride as our community blogger this year. Stay tuned for his updates from the festival grounds! And thanks to all who entered.
The 37th Annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival is coming up quickly – it’s set to kick off on June 17 with performances from Lyle Lovett; Alison Krauss & Union Station; Court Yard Hounds; Yonder Mountain String Band; Leftover Salmon; Béla Fleck, Zakir Hussain & Edgar Meyer; Del McCoury Band; Hot Rize; Josh Ritter; Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros; Carolina Chocolate Drops; Imelda May; the Telluride House Band featuring Sam, Béla, Jerry, Edgar, Bryan & Stuart; and so many more. (Visit the Telluride website for a full lineup and schedule.)
Last year, we sent two lucky bloggers to the event as our personal bloggers. This year we’re going to narrow the field to one lucky No Depression community blogger, who will receive a Telluride prize package, including one press pass to the entire four-day event, including premium camping, and one general admission ticket so you can bring a guest. Press access to Telluride means you’ll have access to a special press tent with wireless internet access and reserved seating in a press area directly in front of the stage. NOTE: Transportation is not included in this prize pack, so you must be able to get yourself to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, stay for the full weekend, and blog from the festival using your own laptop.
To enter, simply compose a blog on this site wherein you talk about any of the artists on the 2010 Telluride Bluegrass Festival lineup, or recall a previous experience you’ve had at Telluride. All blog post entries must be created on this site – links to external blogs or posts on other sites will not be counted. All entries must be posted by 11:59 p.m. on May 15, 2010, with the winner being announced the next day.
To post a blog on NoDepression.com, simply click on “Blogs” in the top nav, then on “Add a blog post.” Please be sure to include the phrase “Telluride Bluegrass Festival” in the title of your post so that we can find it when the time comes to choose a winner.
Go forth and blog…and good luck!
