The 5th Annual No Depression Critics’ Poll
THE FINE PRINT: We asked critics for their top 20 new releases and top 10 reissues; shorter lists were also accepted. We asked readers for their top 10 new releases. In the reader poll, common-sense measures were taken to protect against ballot stuffing. For the critics’ new releases poll, a #1 ranking received 20 points, #2 received 19 points, and so on; for reissues and the readers poll, #1 received 10 points, and so on. Unranked ballots received an equal point-value for each entry. Ties were broken by number of voters listing the record; if still tied, the highest rankinf of any individual voter was used. Only records released in 2007 were eligible.
