Whether you’re a business-owner, a teacher, or a band, in today’s day and age it is necessary to be connected through several communication mediums. With good communication comes good response, which is a primary goal of ours as a band.
As an artist, I tend to look at situations slightly differently than others. And if any of you know me personally, you might know of my fascination with Apis Mellifera, or, in Layman’s terms, the common Western Honey Bee. Just the other day I was thinking about how much we do as a band in attempts to get ourselves noticed; or to make ourselves sound sweeter to the ear. Just like a busy Honey Bee scouring a field of wild flowers for pollen, we too have been working diligently to collect as many ears as possible to listen to our music via our blog, facebook, myspace, iTunes, etc. Not to mention all of the live shows we perform at venues across the Northwest.
Well, the Crooks are now looking beyond the Internet for recognition. After valiant efforts of brainstorming amongst the group on how and where to market our band next, we landed upon a few blooming ideas. The first flower to pollinate: Hops! Being that a few of us are from “Hop Heaven,” Yakima Valley, we decided to go back to our roots and attempt to combine a couple of our passions, Northwest Micro Brew and Music! I can’t say much more than that, as I am not authorized to say much more about our new pot of honey in the works. I can say, however, to be on the lookout for an additional product within our Crooked lineup!!! Hint: You might act like a Bee and catch a buzz!
