Can we repeat last night at Old Settler’s Music Fest all over again? And in particular, can we redo the set done byThe Giving Tree Band? I haven’t been this excited since seeing Greensky Bluegrass for the first time. I had never heard of them before, other than knowing they had a super show at our SXSW, as told to us by buddy Jay Nash. But I know I’ll be getting all of their recordings I can from now on. We bought Vacilador last night, and have already listened to it twice. You might want to check out their site for a giveaway on that one.
This is just a short note, as OSF Day Two is directly in front of us; it’s time to roll once again. But we’ll be remembering last night, not only with Giving Tree, but also the highly talented Lone Star Swing, Della Mae, Wood & Wire, and Fred Eaglesmith too. There was no need to leave our seats at any time!
