The Long Reach of Jack Hardy
News this week of the passing of Jack Hardy elicited many tales of how he affected lives of both listeners and of fellow performers, an inspiration to many but truly known by only a few. My familiarity with Hardy comes mostly from recommendations by others, most notably folk singer/songwriter Jack Williams, who first met Hardy in the early 1970s and traveled in the same song circles at Kerrville with him for the past decade or so.
