The Revivalists: Their Sound Is That Big

It’s actually surprising that, when New Orleans-based rock hybrid band the Revivalists take the stage, the entire planet doesn’t hear them playing. Yes, their sound is that big.

It’s not just because this band has seven members — vocalist David Shaw, guitarist Zack Feinberg, drummer Andrew Campanelli, pedal steel player Ed Williams, bassist George Gekas, saxophonist Rob Ingraham, and keys-and-trumpet player Michael Girardot. They perform with a wide breadth of talent and have brought their show everywhere across the country. But even moreso, it’s because there is so much passion spewing out of these guys, it’s completely impossible to ignore them. 

So this week, I’m clearing the way in this video column to give you an ample dose of them.
