The Surreal World of Ten Ton Man
I have been hearing about this band Ten Ton Man for quite some time. They’re described as “gritty Americana”, which I couldn’t agree more. With a deep baritone vocalist Paul Livornese fronting the group, Ten Ton Man leads you to a world of inebriation, lust, women and vices that all seem to suspend you in time for a bit. If you check out their latest videos below, you will understand.
It is also interesting to note that all three band members are named Paul — Paul Livornese (lead vocals and guitar), Paul Dugan (upright and electric bass) and Paul Triff (drums). I enjoyed watching their videos and am enjoying their latest EP Chunk of Change, that they released last year. For some down-and-dirty Americana or just some great music to drink to, check out Ten Ton Man’s music. You’ll enjoy where it takes you!
Ten Ton Man – “The Drinking Song”
This is a nice 3/4 time polka with a bit of a menacing undertone. The deadpan look of the revelers really speaks to the mood of this song.
Ten Ton Man – “Fine Line” (features world-renowned burlesque dancer Dirty Martini)
This video is almost a mini-film with an old 40s film noir vibe. The star of the video, Dirty Martini, adds a bit of spice to the scene as she proceeds to work her womanly magic on her bewildered victim.
