Todd Snider’s TSL Rewards
Todd Snider offers his live shows for legal download shortly after the performance. For less than the price of parking at your local corporate amphitheatre or about the price of a premium beer ($7) you can buy an access card at the show. I recently saw Todd at the Artcenter in Carrboro, NC and picked up a card. It took a few days for the show to appear online and when it did I entered the access code and downloaded the show. Cheap and easy but how was it going to sound? I’ve added “Stuck on The Corner” from The Storyteller (Aimless Records 2/1/11) and from the Carrboro Arts Center download on my No Depression music player so you can hear the quality of the shows Todd’s offering. I was impressed and consider it money well spent. No regrets and a very nice souvenir of a great evening of song and storytelling.
Tales from Moon Dawg’s Tavern, an excellent five CD compilation of live Todd (which may be the best bootleg ever and you can feel free to tell me if I’m wrong and I know some of you will) has circulated for years but that didn’t put a penny in Todd’s pocket or pay the bills. Now the next best thing to seeing Todd live and is cheap and legal!
If you saw a Todd show from 2009 to the present and didn’t pick up an access card or you just want to more live Todd you can download the show(s) at Todd Snider Live for $7. Oh, and about those Todd Snider Live Rewards (courtesy of the site):
