Kicking out their trademark kung fu country across western Canada this summer, and eastern Canada later this fall, The Joey Only Outlaw Band are on the proverbial “Transgression Trail” with the release of their first full length album and first recording in nearly 4 years. What took so long? one may ask. Well the Outlaws have been anything but complacent over the years, the memorable tracks populating Transgression Trail have grown organically out of experience and aged into the solid, catchy and even controversial tunes they are. From touring lengths and widths of the country repeatedly, to working in health care on Vancouver’s downtown east side, mountaineering in northern BC and being a left-slanted activist and anarchist, Joey Only’s experiences and beliefs are interwoven with his music. It’s punk rock mixed with outlaw country, social commentary mixed with tales of wine, woe and the working man, and its all put together in a snappy little package for your listening pleasure. Transgression Trail was recorded and engineered by Corwin Fox, mixed and mastered by Steve Loree, and is distributed by Scratch Records in Canada.
