Introducing the latest music video – “Take Me With You” – by indie-pop singer-songwriter, Rick Warren. Born and raised in Demarest, NJ, Rick visits his childhood home with his brother to shoot the video. On the bare walls of his childhood bedroom, Rick Warren paints the story of the second single, “Take Me With You,” off his debut album, Proximity, which drops on July 14, 2015. The video, shot in one take, is the second portion of an album-length video in which Warren paints the lyrics, colors, and characters of the album in an increasingly chaotic collage.
I enjoyed this track, which has the right amount of desperation in the lyrics and tension in the music to propel the listener forward to the final calm resolution of the song. Mighty fine songwriting here!
