Kacey Musgraves & John Prine

In honor of Kacey’s long-awaited sophomore effort being released in a couple, here she is singing a song she wrote about John Prine, with John Prine. He was about Kacey’s age when I met and talked with John at the long-gone Riverboat in Toronto. Well friends did most of the talking, but then he looked at me and asked, “You a musician too?” I just said “No, I do some songwriting,” not about to tell him that hearing him, his buddy Steve Goodman (whom I met a couple weeks later), and Kris gave me no other choice but to just try.
