You Were On My Mind by Ian Tyson & Sylvia Fricker
As the folk duo Ian and Sylvia, Sylvia Fricker wrote the song “You Were On My Mind,” which became a rock radio hit in the 60s for the group We Five. Iconic country and western singer Ian Tyson has written some incredible songs in his career of 50+ years. His tune “Someday Soon” has been recorded by Judy Collins and Suzy Bogguss. CBC voted his song “Four Strong Winds” as the all-time #1 song. Ian Tyson is Canadian and currently lives in Alberta. During the 1970s, Ian Tyson made the shift to country and western music. He owns and operates a cattle ranch and enjoys cowboy poetry. He has written a book of young-adult fiction about his song “La Primera”, called La Primera: The Story of Wild Mustangs.
