Wakarusa 2013 | Wakafarians Unite
Fellow Wakafarians spring is trying to break its way into the Ozarks and anticipation is in the air for festival season! Wakarusa 2013 is steaming up to bring several cult following genre’s into one festival and I can already feel the love!
While the main headliners are sure to please and already have mass following of their own, funkadelic off road bluegrass and roots bands like Yonder Mountain String Band, Dirtfoot and Mountain Sprout are sure to bring in their own set of loyal fans and followers. On the other end of the spectrum, funckadelic bluegrass lovers new to Waka should not miss the opportunity to expand their experience with the likes Gaudi, Govinda, and Amon Tobin. These artists harness a sound that can take you on a magic carpet ride to a world of stories within the music itself.
VICE VERSA YOU INTERSTELLAR STARBEING LOYALISTS!
Yonder Mountain String Band is not your grandma’s bluegrass! Where you may never intentionally put yourself in the position to take in a YMSB show, if you are gonna be at Waka…YOU GOTTA CATCH YONDER!
If you are an old schooler like me you will be watching the stage schedule in hopes RUN DMC isn’t conflicting with another one of your main musical crushes 😛 An oldie but goodie- I might have to bring out my Adidas tennis shoes for this one!
Still in hopes some magical mystical bands get added at the last minute… afterall “hope is the heart of all Wakafarians” (quote by me:) ) But in the mean time I am going to be going over my camping gear and checking it twice, hoping the weather at Waka is not naughty but nice!
Catch you on the flip side , but until then, keep it irie!
