Jason & The Scorchers and Dan Baird & Homemade Sin guitarist Warner E. Hodges spoke with the From Out Of Nowhere Podcast about an incident with the Swiss Border Patrol that lead to the new Dan Baird & Homemade Sin DVD Viva Nashvegas!. Warner also discussed the status of a rumored Jason & The Scorchers DVD and touring plans for his other project The Bluefields.
Viva Nashvegas! was released on September 10 to help repay the expenses of a Swiss border stop that turned into what the authorities coined and International Smuggling incident. Cited with illegally crossing an unmanned border, the band faced seizure of all their equipment and merchandise on the eve of a 42-date European tour. The band was given 12 hours to pay a fine of more than 9,000 Euros or their gear would be confiscated and sold by the Swiss government.
